Negative Patterns of Behavior based on Disrespect

Disrespect is felt as humiliation. Humiliation is the violent or aggressive assertion of hierarchy. It is putting someone in their place, a place below the humiliator. Much violence, both that directed outwardly onto others and that directed inward onto ourselves, is a direct product of humiliation.

Disrespect through hostile Competition

Believing only in zero-sum interactions, we send messages of domination and dehumanization.

Disrespect through Suspicion

Sending messages of distrust, we show our fear and hostility.

Disrespect through Aggression, Anger, and Belligerence

Sending messages of force and fear, we hope to compel either compliance or silence.

Disrespect through Indifference

Not caring, we deny their experience and their humanity.

  2. Hi there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The text in your content seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The layout look great though! Hope you get the problem fixed soon. Kudos

  3. The core of your writing whilst sounding reasonable originally, did not really work properly with me after some time. Somewhere throughout the sentences you managed to make me a believer but just for a while. I still have got a problem with your jumps in logic and one would do well to help fill in those gaps. If you actually can accomplish that, I would surely be amazed.
